Edifici commerciali
Project overview: An old building from the sixties has been completly renewed in the look with porcelain tiles resembling tipical stones found in the region
Building elements supplied: Ventilated Façade and wall coverings
m2: 1500
Main Challanges:
The almost 50 years old commercial building, regional headquarter of the italian tax agency and Enel, Italian national energy company, had much need for a restyling and energy efficiency. The aim was to give a severe, yet light look to the building whilst dramatically improving its energy performances. This was obtained by choosing a clear gray shade of Quarziti stone effect material. Not only, the rhytmic lines of the façade have been made evanescent with shiny aluminum flashing refletting the clear sky of the mountain region.
Lesson Learned: The installation of a new façade can deeply change the aesthetic of a building both in the surface finish as well as in the architectural features. The once heavy and dim look of the building characterised by horizontal lines became brighter and lighter.
